We Have the Power to Impact Canton’s Future, and We’re Doing Something About It

In 2022, the Partnership for the Arts & Humanities and Canton Township formalized a shared commitment to strengthening the arts and supporting the continued revitalization of historic Cherry Hill Village. That collaboration entered a new phase in late 2023, when Canton Township acquired the arts campus and the Partnership continued its role managing the Arts Warehouse and working with the Township to deliver arts programming, festivals, exhibitions, and community events.

Today, the Arts Warehouse at Cherry Hill is a creative and economic anchor for the district. Its studios, classes, exhibitions, programs, and special events welcome more than 10,000 visitors each year while supporting local artists, creative entrepreneurs, and small businesses. In partnership with Canton Parks, Recreation & Community Services—and with the support of members, staff, sponsors, and community partners—the Arts Warehouse is creating new ways for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience, appreciate, and participate in the arts.

As Cherry Hill Village enters an exciting new era of investment and growth, the Arts Warehouse at Cherry Hill will remain central to its future: preserving the district’s history, nurturing creativity, building community, and helping Cherry Hill Village flourish as a regional destination for arts and culture.

Agent Orange Awareness 5K

The Agent Orange Awareness 5K Run/Walk returns this year on Saturday, September 26 to help raise awareness of the lingering effects of the toxic herbicide used during the Vietnam War. Not only does this annual community race bring honor to our veterans, it also brings to light the continuing toll of Agent Orange exposure on our servicemen and their families. This year we’re hoping to raise $10,000 in sponsorships from individuals and local businesses to support the VA Ann Arbor Fisher House. The Ann Arbor Fisher House provides cost-free lodging for families and caregivers of veterans and active duty service members receiving care at the Ann Arbor VA Health System.
