Located next to the Veterans’ Dormitory on the grounds of the Village Arts Factory, this permanent art installation seeks to honor both those who have served a full military career in the United States Armed Forces and those whose lives were “cut short” during active duty.
Top 20 Art Prize winner, Pamela Alderman, designed this outdoor veteran’s memorial entitled ‘Cut Short.’ Funded through a private donation, the art installation consists of twenty-one 6 x 6-inch white posts cut to various lengths to represent both those who served a full military career and also those whose lives were “cut short.” We invite you to honor and memorialize your friends, family, and loved ones who have served by purchasing an engraved plaque that will adorn one of the posts. Your $100 donation will purchase a 3.5″ x 5″ personalized plaque that will become a permanent addition to the installation.
