Polynesian Dance Night at the Arts Warehouse
Discover the beauty, energy, and storytelling of Polynesian dance during this welcoming, beginner-friendly cultural dance experience led by Melanee Hirvela of Hoaloha Polynesian Dancers of Michigan.
During the evening, participants will learn foundational movements, hand gestures, rhythms, and simple choreography while exploring how dance is used to share stories and celebrate the cultures and traditions of Polynesia. Melanee will guide the group step by step, making the experience approachable and enjoyable for first-time dancers.
No previous dance experience is required. Come on your own or register with a friend, partner, or family member. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

$15 for one participant | $25 for a pair
This event is open to participants ages 12 and older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The evening will conclude with light snacks and refreshments, along with an opportunity to relax and socialize with your fellow dancers.
